The New Forests Project offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students interested in international public health, environmental issues and third-world development. This program is designed to allow the student to spend one year/semester or summer in Washington D.C ., working in the non-profit sector. The International Center has attracted more than 500 interns, including the New Forests Project and the U.S. Vietnam Trade Council.
Ideal candidates must be interested in the developing world, specifically Latin America, Africa or Asia. Ideal candidates also are proficient in Spanish or French and have some computer skills including command of the Microsoft Office Suite. A background in development, environmental studies, biology, anthropology or forestry are a plus!
